Recent Grants

The Doe Family Foundation’s 2023 grants include:

American Red Cross- A gift of $85,000 to support the Food and Nutrition programs that collectively serve as a primary resource for food insecure residents in need of immediate and long-term aid.

Boys & Girl Club of Boston- A grant of $50,000 to support the Academic & Life Success program which expands educational and career-readiness opportunities for children and teens in the Boston and Chelsea areas.

Bridge over Troubled Waters- A gift of $75,000 to strengthen the path from surviving to thriving, which includes investment in Bridge’s Intake, Transitional Day, Welcome Center and Emergency Residence Programs.

Cape Cod Times Needy Fund- A grant of $50,000 to provide financial assistance for a range of basic human needs when they fall on tough times.

Community Servings- A grant of $100,000 for food and kitchen expenses as well as client services for Food is Medicine programming.

Family Aid- A grant of $100,000 to support the construction of a six-bay kitchen at the Newton Family Navigation Center.

Greater Boston Food Bank- A $550,000 grant to support the increased purchases of produce and nutritious foods for distribution throughout Massachusetts.

Horizons for Homeless Children- A $25,000 grant to ensure that hundreds of homeless children receive nutritious meals and snacks each day.

Housing Families- A $50,000 gift to help strengthen families during their homelessness experience by supporting the GREAT Youth and Families (GYFP) and Homeless Prevention Programs.

Lovin’ Spoonfuls- A grant of $50,000 to help the organization rescue and distribute fresh, wholesome food to provide hunger relief for over 340,000 people per year.

Mil Milagros- A grant of $30,000 to support their work to equip mothers and teachers with skills and resources to improve the lives of children and families in rural Guatemala.

New Hampshire Food Bank- A $90,000 grant to support the continued lease of a refrigerated truck as well as new pallet racking for the food storage area.

Pine Street Inn- A $500,000 gift as part of a $1 million grant over 2 years to replace windows at the Women’s Inn, purchase and install new furniture in the meeting rooms, offices and work stations for the new 3368 Washington Street building, and funding for supportive services at 900 Morrissey Blvd, which will house 99 seniors in Dorchester.

Rosie’s Place- A grant of $50,000 in support of the Dining Room and Pantry programs for poor and homeless women and their children.

St. Francis House- A grant of $250,000 as part of a $500,000 grant over 2 years to support the renovation of the new Nutrition Center through their Pathways Capital Campaign.

Women’s Lunch Place- A gift of $25,000 to directly support their mission as they respond to the needs of women experiencing poverty and homelessness.
